Comeback nearly complete…

Posted on February 15, 2008. Filed under: Football |

Debut appearances by Ken and Alif today who both performed admirably well. They adapted to the game easily with few close controls, nifty footwork and passing. Alif scored on his debut as well. Ben made calamity of mistakes whole throughout the game. He was doubtful before the game due to the injury he sustained earlier in the week on his left knee. The game seemed to be in cruise control for the home team when they took the lead from Ariz who tapped the ball in after some good work from O’Neil.

O’Neil who only played his second game of the season impressed all throughout the game when he scored 3 goals. The away team were made to work really hard to comeback with 5 goals and Izuddin made sure he got 2 to his name. Alif who played on the left was a constant manace to the defense and was duly rewarded after collecting a loose ball from Ben from the middle of the park to slot home his debut goal.

Afif also scored after only 10 minutes in the park. Both Azmi and Reza closed in the gap at the top after each scored a goal a piece.

Final result Home 6 Away 5

Man of the Match: O’Neil – controlled the game from the middle of the park and clever running. An average of 2 goals per game made him an impressive player.
