Comeback complete with a cherry on top!

It was the first of the 3 games played today. The pitch didnt do the players a lot of favour. Both home and away team had the look of balance to them. The away side started brilliantly scoring 2 goals. Spearheaded by the consistent Azmi in attack, they had the start they wanted when Azmi unselfishly laid the ball right to the unmarked Khalik as he scored the opener. Azmi added the tally to 2 after combining well with Kilin from a straight throw in on the left and slotted the ball into the empty net.

The home team hit back with a wonderfully strucked ball from Afif on the right that hit the upright and went in. Kilin did ever so well to beat Ben on defense and after a clever run slotted the ball again into the empty net. Ariz wasted a least 5 chances in between to put the home team ahead was told to go back to help the defense and this proved to be the right move as he kept the away team at bay in goal when he saved at least 4 clear cut chances created by the away team. He was duly rewarded for his persistence up front when he toe poked the ball from Azmi and the ball rolled into the empty net.

The game was evenly contested. Abang who seemed to have an off day kept loosing the ball in the middle of the park which in turn created chances after chances for the away team. The away team added 4 more goals from Azmi, Kilin (2), Izuddin. The game seemed to be over for the home team when a great comeback started with Afif scoring his 4th of the game. Reza also got into the act after scoring from a very close range in the goal mouth scramble. Ben scored his 16th of the season after Afif did brilliantly on the right with and Ben blasted the ball beating Khalik in goal. The home team edged it in the end with 7-6.

Man of the match: Afif – scoring 4 goals although appeared to be quite for most of the game. He proved to be a manace to defenders and considered to be a force to be reckoned with.
