Sunday game report

Today’s game was all about youth vs experience. The home team was made up of players all above their 30s with only Jimbo the young one. The away team who ironically was comprised of all Man U fans were all young. The away team defended well for 20 minutes or so and proved to be a tough nut to crack. Again, the away team’s defense was marshaled by Reza and they defended superbly. Their attack was spearheaded by Afif and Izuddin, while Khalik played on the right side. Ben got into the act when he received the ball from Abang after he played from nifty footwork from the middle. Ben who once again played on the right side got into the act and side footed the ball with only Reza to beat. The role changed for the second ball when Ben tackled Reza from the centre of the park and the loose ball fell to Abang who easily slotted the ball into the empty net.

Ben again got into the score sheet after a crazy scramble in front of the goal mouth with Reza. Kilin scored twice as well who played mostly as a right wing player. Jimbo scored his 7th of the season as he side footed his try. Azmi added his tally to a monstrous 51 when he  slotted the ball in with only Reza to beat. The away team scored through Izuddin (who received the ball from Reza on the left side and slided in the ball into the empty net) and Khalik with a speculative long range effort that hit the cross bar on its way in.

MOTM: Kilin for his tireless run from attack to defense.
