Hard fought win.

The home side played with grit and determination last night as they saw off the away team’s challenge. It was a close game indeed with only a marginal mistake from Reza gave the advantage to the home side. On paper, the home side should have been on the loosing end. No attacking players on board with only Unc. Metali keeping his place in the engine room while Ben reverting back to centre half. This only means that Jimbo, Ariz and Khalik on the attacking department. While the away side came with a strong side in the form of Reza, Azmi and Kazi in attack while Abang played as their centre half.

But it was Jimbo who drew first blood after Abang made a mistake and Ben dispatched the ball to Jimbo. Jimbo who’s back against the goal coolly back kicked the ball with Abang can only manage to see the ball rolled slowly into the empty net. The away team levelled the scoring through Azmi after some fine work on the right hand side. After that, it was all the away team and waves of attack came in. The home side had two glorious chances with Ariz and Jimbo the guilty parties.

It was until the final minutes when Reza miscontrolled the ball after being pressured by Khalik gave the home side the victory against the run of play. It was defintiely a tough game for the home side as they learned the hard way to defend and tried to keep the goal a respectable one.

MOTM: Unc.Metali for his role as anchor in the middle of the park and defended well at the crucial times.
