Hard earned win

Yesterday was a close game between the home and away team. The game was a tough one considering the condition of the field and the humid temperature.  The away side started from the  beginning  with a  blistering attack spearheaded by  Reza and Azmi with Khalik as the  ancillary  man operating wide on both flanks. Ariz  operated  in his usual role of  defensive player.  And they got what  the perfect start they wanted when Azmi slotted the ball in between Ben’s legs to give them the lead.

The score stayed that way for 20 minutes until Unc.Metali and Abang combined upfront to give the leveller. Unc. Metali found a gap on the left side and shot the ball pass Azmi after Abang managed to pull Ariz back out. The second of the home team soon came after a typical run from Abang from the centre of the field gave the home team the second.

The away side should have put the game beyond the home team when chances after chances came in. Khalik was especially guilty after not converting a clear chance on goal after he accidently stepped on the ball with clearly Ben beaten. ben managed to scuff the ball away to safety. The scoreline remained 2-1until the end of the game…

MOTM: Abang, defended and attacked resolutely from beginning to the end.
