Juniors Vs Seniors

Posted on June 6, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

The game today saw the home team equipped with senior level squad with the likes of Unc.Metali, Abang, Ben, Kilin, Azmi and Kazi. All of them are all above 30 years old with Unc.Metali being the notable most senior. The junior team was captained by Reza being the eldest in the group. With the likes of jubilant youth squad under him in the form of Izuddin, Afif, Khalik and Ariz all except for Reza were under 20s.

The game looked like its going to be settled by a single goal or a goalless draw for a long period of time until Unc.Metali gave the ball away cheaply to Afif who played as the lone striker upfront. He slotted the ball easily into the empty net to give the away team the lead against the run of play. But a few minutes later, Kazi made a brilliant run on the right flank and his shot sailed in for the equalizer.

Soon after that, Kilin gave the home team the second of the afternoon after a goalmouth scramble beating Khalik at the post. Ben who played as the sweeper delivered a perfect ball to Azmi from the right flank as he chested down the ball and turned the ball away for the third for the home team.

Pictures coming up next…

MOTM: Reza for his damage control game. He saved the away team from being pulverized by the home team.
