Stalemate at the park
The Junior side comprising of the away team fought a hard earned draw as they defended their goal to the teeth. A surprise inclusion was Waíe who played superbly in defense alongside Reza and Ariz. The trio combined effectively in defense and kept the clean sheet they thoroughly deserved.
The home side came on menacingly with the likes of Azmi, Kilin. Abang, Kazi and Unc.Metali in attack. They bombarded the away side’s goal mouth with waves of attacks from left, right and centre. Ben who played as a centre half nearly opened the score when his deft lob managed to elude everybody but only to be denied by the upright with clearly Ariz beaten in goal. Azmi, Kilin and Abang had glorious chances to put the game beyond the away side but once again, Reza marshalled the defense with blocks and slides from all corners of the penalty box.
The most interesting player to watch was Waíe who adapted to the game quickly and made some important blocks to deny Azmi, Abang and Kilin.
MOTM: Waie, worked well with Reza and Ariz in defense. Well timed tackles.
