Home team battled for a draw

Yesterday’s game looked to have been sliding away from the home team as the away side powered 2 goals up earlier in the proceedings when Kilin took advantage from slack defendings. The condition of the pitch did not help the situation at all as dust began to avail in the middle of the park where the actions mostly happened.

The home team then crawled back and pulled 1 back from the in form striker Izuddin after a neat pass from Ben from the middle of the park. Reza then put the surprise leveller after he produced a fierce shot into goal beating Jimbo. The surprise came when Khalik returned back the pass to Ben deep inside his half and made a deft lob that went straight into goal to give the home team the lead.

But the away team did not settled for this and went on to produce waves of attack. Azmi was hungry for more goals from his current exploits last week proved to be a constant manace and he gave the leveller after his shot on the right went between Ben’s legs. He then made a brilliant run from the centre of the field eluding Reza and Izuddin before beating Ben in goal.

The away team must have thought the game was theirs but the home team had a different idea. Ben who played a pass to Reza made the run from his half to distract jimbo in defense. The idea worked as Reza managed to slide in a pass to Ben as Ben only need to guide the ball in between Jimbo’s legs for the leveller. It was an interesting game that saw Izuddin played a constant duel with Unc.Metali in attack. Nevertheless, it was a hard fought win and a point a piece was a good result in the end.

MOTM: Reza, opening up play and worked tirelessly in defense.
